The QFC housing is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and can be screwed into field instruments to replace conventional cable glands. The protective components are installed directly in the conduit, achieving energy-coordinated surge protection to protect the circuits inside field instruments from hazardous surges. Interference pulses are discharged solely through the metal housing, not through the device internals.
